Field Application Engineer (FAE) - South Korea

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional & Global Technical Support: Provide expert technical guidance to clients in South Korea and the wider APAC region. Act as the primary technical point of contact for multinational accounts integrating Forlinx solutions into their global product lines.
  • Cross-Border Project Management: Support global enterprise clients whose R&D centers are based in APAC but whose manufacturing or deployments span across different continents, ensuring consistent technical standards and seamless integration worldwide.
  • Global R&D Feedback Loop: Serve as a crucial liaison between regional customers and our global engineering/R&D headquarters. Translate local market trends and complex customer requirements into actionable insights to shape our global product roadmap.
  • Glocal Sales Enablement: Partner seamlessly with the global and regional sales teams to deliver high-impact technical presentations, product demos, and tailored solution architectures to prospective clients.
  • Global Knowledge Sharing: Actively participate in global technical summits and internal knowledge-exchange sessions, contributing regional technical use cases to enrich Forlinx's global technical knowledge base.

Qualifications

  • Location & Eligibility: Must be based in Seoul, South Korea, with valid authorization to work in the country.
  • Language: Native-level fluency in Korean and business-level proficiency in English for global cross-functional collaboration.
  • Education: Full-time Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in embedded technology or related fields.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in R&D or as an FAE, with solid knowledge of ARM-based hardware and software design.
  • Market Expertise (Highly Preferred): A deep, intuitive understanding of South Korean corporate culture, business etiquette, and local tech industry dynamics is strongly preferred. Candidates with an established professional network within the local embedded systems ecosystem will be given priority consideration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional & Global Technical Support: Provide expert technical guidance to clients across Germany and the broader European market. Act as the lead technical advisor for EU-based multinational corporations deploying Forlinx solutions on a global scale.
  • Cross-Border Project Management: Navigate and support complex engineering projects for clients whose design hubs are in Europe, coordinating seamlessly with their global manufacturing and deployment sites to ensure project success.
  • Global R&D Feedback Loop: Serve as a vital bridge between the stringent technical demands of the European market and our global R&D headquarters. Influence the global product strategy by providing deep insights into EU industry standards and emerging tech trends.
  • Glocal Sales Enablement: Partner with the regional and global sales teams to architect tailored solutions, delivering compelling technical presentations and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) that drive business growth.
  • Global Knowledge Sharing: Foster technical excellence by contributing European use cases and best practices to Forlinx’s global engineering community and participating in international technical alignment meetings.

Qualifications

  • Location & Eligibility: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Munich, Germany, with valid authorization to work in the EU.
  • Language: Native or highly proficient (C1/C2) in German, and business-level proficiency in English for global cross-functional collaboration.
  • Education: Full-time Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in embedded technology or related fields.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in R&D or as an FAE, with solid knowledge of ARM-based hardware and software design.
  • Market Expertise (Highly Preferred): Intimate knowledge of the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) business landscape and European industrial engineering standards is highly advantageous.
