Behind these impressive achievements is the robust support provided by the R&D laboratory.
Self-built multi-million labs, testing in line with stringent national standards
Folinx Embedded Three R&D laboratories: a Physical Environment Laboratory, an Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory, and a Stability Laboratory. There are total 10 major items, each designed to simulate the extreme conditions that may be encountered in real-world applications. This ensures that the product is able to perform in a wide range of complex environments.
1. Physical environment laboratory
(1) High and low temperature/temperature change/humidity test
High and low temperature test: The operating environment temperature of the equipment (product) can have a certain impact on the normal operating performance of the equipment, and in severe cases, it can lead to equipment failure or damage. High and low temperature test is to examine the adaptability of electronic and electrical products to such environmental temperatures—by simulating extreme high temperatures (up to +125°C) and low temperatures (down to -55°C), testing the product's performance under extreme temperatures.
Temperature variation test: It requires the high and low temperature test chamber. It assesses the product's ability to withstand such environmental temperature changes through one or multiple rapid temperature change tests.
Humidity Test: Changes in environmental temperature or humidity can have a certain impact on the normal operating performance of equipment. In severe cases, this can lead to equipment failure or damage. Humidity test: It examines the adaptability of electronic and electrical products to such environmental temperature and humidity changes. Humidity range is 20% ~ 98% RH.

(2) Vibration test/shock/impact test
Vibration Test is conducted to simulate the various vibration environmental impacts that the product may encounter during transportation, installation and use. The test is used to determine whether the product can withstand the vibration of various environments. The frequency range is 2-2000 Hz, with a maximum vibration acceleration of up to 981 m/s².
Shock/Impact Test is a standard method used to assess the safety, reliability and effectiveness of a product when subjected to external impact or action. This test simulates the impacts and collisions that the product may be subjected to in use. It covers half-sine, front-peak sawtooth, back-peak sawtooth, triangular, rectangular, trapezoidal, and bell-shaped waves, with a rated thrust of 10kN(1000kgf).

(3) Salt Spray Test
Some customers will use the product in a salty and humid environment, so the salt spray test is needed. The salt spray test simulates the climate environment of the ocean or salty and humid areas, and is used to examine the salt spray corrosion resistance of products, materials and their protective layers.

(4) Drop Test
To assess the resilience of a product to a fall due to careless handling during moving, Forlinx Embedded employs a drop tester to simulate the accidental dropping of a product. This verifies the structural integrity and functional retention of the product or determines the minimum level of robustness required for safety purposes. Drop test heights up to 1500mm.

2. Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory
(1) Electrostatic Discharge Immunity Test
It is important to note that during the operation of electronic equipment, it is often disturbed by electrostatic discharge. The short and strong discharge current and the electromagnetic field generated by the current may cause the circuit failure and damage of electronic and electrical equipment. The objective of the ESD immunity test is to assess the resilience of electrical and electronic equipment to electromagnetic disturbances.

(2) Electrical Fast Transient Pulse Group Immunity Test
Due to the breakdown of the switch contact gap or contact bounce and other reasons, the switch in the disconnection of inductive loads (such as relays, contactors, etc.) will produce a small energy, a single spectrum of very wide transient interference. This interference will have a significant impact on the reliable operation of electrical and electronic products, potentially leading to significant issues. The electrical fast transient/burst immunity test is used to assess the resilience of electronic and electrical equipment to this kind of interference.
(3) Surge (Impact) Immunity Test
High-voltage switch operations or lightning strikes can generate transient over-voltage or over-current on power grids or communication lines. This is a form of electromagnetic interference with significant energy. Such interference can result in circuit faults or damage to electronic and electrical equipment. A surge (shock) immunity test can check the ability of electrical and electronic products to withstand such electromagnetic disturbances.

(4) Insulation Resistance Test
The insulation resistance test is designed to assess the resistance value of the insulation layer of electrical equipment under the influence of a direct current (DC) voltage. Insulation resistance testers are used to test the insulation properties of products to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards. The test voltage range is 250 V ~ 1000 V.

3. Stability Laboratory
(1) Stability Test
During prolonged operation, multiple power cycles, or restarts, equipment components may probabilistically exhibit abnormalities due to aging, critical electrical parameters, or inadequacies in software logic design. This may result in the equipment's inability to function, start, or restart normally, significantly reducing its reliability. Stability testing is a process used to verify the reliability and performance capabilities of equipment during prolonged operation, multiple power cycles, and restarts.

(2) Interface Conformance Test
Ultimate interface conformance testing not only diminishes system failures and risks but also enhances the quality of hardware and software, elevates the trustworthiness of the system, guarantees synchronized operation among components, and mitigates the peril of system failures and crashes. The analog bandwidth is 23 GHz and the sampling rate is 100 GS/s.
